MOTION APPROVED TO CONDUCT A FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR A MULTI-USE STADIUM IN MISSISSAUGA

Updated: Nov 4, 2019

At a recent council meeting, a motion was put forward by councillors John Kovac, Pat Saito and supported by Mayor Crombie to make money available to investigate locations and costing for a stadium. We’re VERY happy to say that the motion passed nearly unanimously and some of us were there to witness it in person! A huge step for us as a group and for the city as well. In that council meeting, our group was recognized as having played a role in sharing with city council the existence of the Canadian Premier League and its benefits to the city of Mississauga, and connecting CPL executives with city officials who have been in contact with each other ever since.

Unfortunately there is no definitive timeline in place for when findings would be presented besides a fairly vague “Spring 2019” mentioned in the motion itself. But you can be sure that if any news breaks, we’ll be letting you all know the latest!
